Webhook
A webhook is a user-registered HTTP endpoint that a service calls with a payload whenever a subscribed event occurs, pushing data to you instead of requiring you to poll.
Where a WebSocket keeps an open connection, a webhook is a fire-and-forget HTTP POST to a URL you register — useful when your backend prefers inbound callbacks over holding a socket. Typical triggers include an incoming payment to a watched address or a matching contract event. Because delivery can fail, robust consumers verify signatures and reconcile against on-chain state. When a webhook flags an address, you confirm the details by reading the transaction receipt and decoded logs from the archive RPC.
