TRON Energy
Energy is a TRON network resource, consumed when executing smart contract operations, that users get by staking TRX or by burning TRX to cover the shortfall.
On TRON, running smart contract operations consumes Energy, the analog of EVM gas for computation and storage. Accounts obtain Energy by staking TRX for resources, and any shortfall is paid by burning TRX at execution time. TRC-20 transfers are the most common Energy consumers, so exchanges manage large Energy budgets to keep withdrawal costs down. Estimating Energy correctly avoids failed calls. Our TRON archive API reports Energy consumption per transaction and account resource state, so you can budget and attribute contract execution costs precisely.
