Price oracle

A price oracle is a mechanism that delivers off-chain or aggregated price data on-chain so that smart contracts can act on asset prices.

Smart contracts cannot call external APIs, so lending, derivatives and stablecoin protocols rely on oracles to learn what an asset is worth. Oracles differ in how they source and secure prices, often using a TWAP over pool data or aggregating multiple venues to resist manipulation. A single manipulable feed is a common attack surface for DeFi exploits. Our spot and OHLCV data can serve as inputs when building or validating an oracle, offering an independent reference against on-chain pool prices.
