Suspicious Activity Report
A Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) is a report a regulated institution files with its financial intelligence unit when it identifies a transaction that may indicate money laundering or other financial crime.
When monitoring flags conduct that lacks a lawful explanation, a compliance team escalates, investigates, and, if suspicion holds, files a SAR to the relevant authority such as FinCEN in the U.S. The filing must summarise the who, what, and why with supporting evidence, and firms must avoid tipping off the subject. Strong SARs rest on traceable facts. Our platform supplies that evidence: address risk-score, KYT transaction screening results, sanctions matches, and a multi-hop fund-flow trace with an exposure breakdown that documents how illicit funds reached the account, giving the narrative a defensible, reproducible basis.
