Custodial wallet
A custodial wallet is a wallet whose private keys are held and operated by a service provider rather than the end user.
In a custodial arrangement the provider controls the keys and executes transactions for the user, who authenticates rather than signs. This simplifies recovery and user experience but concentrates funds and imposes custody, licensing and compliance obligations. It contrasts with non-custodial designs, where only the user can spend. Our tx build, simulate and broadcast primitives are non-custodial by design and do not hold keys, so a custodial operator would layer their own key-management and signing on top of our data and broadcast surface.
