FinCEN

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is the U.S. Treasury bureau that administers the Bank Secrecy Act, sets AML rules, and receives suspicious-activity and currency-transaction reports.

FinCEN issues AML regulations and guidance for U.S. financial institutions, including money services businesses that deal in convertible virtual currency, and collects the SARs and CTRs firms are obliged to file. Its guidance shaped how crypto exchanges register and report. Meeting FinCEN expectations requires monitoring and defensible reporting evidence. Our platform contributes the on-chain layer: KYT transaction screening and address risk-scores drive detection, while sanctions screening, exposure breakdowns, and multi-hop fund-flow tracing document the provenance behind a filing, giving a SAR narrative a reproducible factual basis that supports BSA compliance.
