DeFi (Decentralized Finance)
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) is the set of financial applications built on public blockchains that run through smart contracts rather than centralized intermediaries.
DeFi rebuilds services like exchange, lending and asset management as smart contracts anyone can call, with balances and rules enforced on-chain rather than by a firm. Core building blocks include AMMs for swaps, liquidity pools for depth, and price oracles for valuations. Because every action is a transaction, DeFi generates rich on-chain data. Our decoded transaction and market-data primitives let builders read pool state, prices and token metadata directly from the chains that host these protocols.
